an interesting addition to the "dark academia" genre -- it consistently had a mysterious vibe that kept me on my toes and while i was able to predict some elements of the plot, others kept me entirely in the dark. i would've liked to have been able to draw conclusions that didn't kind of come out of nowhere like some did -- but i still enjoyed the reading experience overall! i'll definitely be picking up the sequel next!
