China Room by Sunjeev Sahota

3.0

I am torn on this one. Child brides who end up living very secluded and strict lives partnered with a present day family member going through withdrawal all set in/near the China Room. I appreciate what the author tried to do (even more so realizing it was based mildly on his own families history), but I didn't feel the two stories came together enough at the end. It was lacking some closure for me. Good or bad, I needed just a few more pages wrap it up.
