The Arrivals by Melissa Marr

2.0

An interesting premise, but ultimately completely flat. We don't get to know most of the characters enough for them to be more than cookie-cutter types, and when
Spoilerbetrayal comes from within, it's from a character who barely gets any page time, and who is little more than "guy who likes knives."
. We are told what the characters are feeling, but never really see a hint of emotion from the characters themselves, and are supposed to believe that
Spoilertwo people who meet when blood-drunk on this world's uppers, and are given minimal interaction outside of that high, are meant to be together
. I expected more from this premise, and was severely disappointed.
