At this point, the series is just too convoluted. We needed to stop adding new major plot lines at least one book ago. The characterization is sacrificed to make room for more and more lore. The book is just too long and it dragged a bit as we got towards the end.
Things I did like included Samantha, having all the crawlers present and the giant ball of people/penis. The series is a lot of fun and it's occasionally moving. I care about these characters a lot and that's not something that just any book can do.
