i've always loved the found family trope, but this one tugged at my heartstrings especially. what a beautiful, gentle, whimsical story focused on love - both platonic & romantic. we should accept our differences. the serious tones were written w such care & the whimiscal aspects of the story didn't take away from it. linus. oh linus. & the children! although, i do wish we'd gotten more of phee and theo... but alas. the poems, the records, the bonds. oh my heart. accepting who you are, nurture v nature, & just plain love. also... how we all hate bureaucracy!

"i'm just me." "i know, and what a lovely person you are." how could i NOT be moved?
