Happy Publication Day! I was lucky enough to get an advanced audiobook copy of Things We Do In The Dark from @netgalley @macmillan.audio @minotaur_books and the author in exchange for my honest opinion.
Paris Peralta is arrested in her own home holding a straight razor and covered in her celebrity husband’s blood. When she’s arrested, she of course doesn’t want to be convicted of a murder she didn’t commit but she’s more worried all of the attention will cause someone from her past to recognize her.
With all of the media coverage we soon find out that Ruby Reyes who is a convinced killer in prison in Canada claims to know who Paris is. She begins blackmailing her by sending letters to Paris’ husband’s fan mail address.
I really loved how the narration flipped time points so we could keep up with what’s happening to Paris now and what happened in the past. There were a couple of twists I didn’t expect which is always so good in thrillers.
This was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me.
