First Impressions
Mogul is the second book in the Mahattan series and this was a story that you could read as a standalone, but it might give you a better experience reading together. Mogul is a story dealing with a one night stand and a casual relationship that turns into something more. Even though the hero is in the middle of a divorce settlement, I honestly didn't mind the premise of it at all. Its written in a way that you can see very quickly the circumstances and I was good with how the events actually play out in this book. While it wasn't my favorite Katy Evans, it was entertaining and a sexy fun filled ride that you just know Katy Evans will deliver on.

First Line
"Four Seasons concierge, this is Sara speaking."

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Ian
The Heroine: Sara

Summary
Ian is in the middle of getting a divorce after his wife cheated on him. He is a bit of a workaholic but he refuses to give her another chance. After a year of trying to work with her, he is becoming tired of the waiting game and is willing to do what it takes to be free of him. He currently lives in a hotel as he is working on a film currently as he is a film producer mogul, and he runs into sweet and sassy Sara, who makes him yearn for something more. They have a brilliant one night stand and then through a course of events meet again and begin a casual affair. But what begins as something very casual and easy turns into something much deeper very quickly.

What I Loved
There were many aspects of this story that I fell quickly for. I absolutely loved the way that they were with each other. I loved the easy way they got along and spoke for one another. They have a brilliant connection that just sparks off of the pages. There is that delicious humor that just delivers to entertain the reader from beginning to end. I also enjoyed how their conflict wasn't in the third act but in the first half of the book. That was different from what this author normally does and I found it very refreshing. Loved seeing so much positive couple time in the third act and not be stressing about something crazy internally happening as I much prefer outer conflict to inner conflict. I found the way the hero responded to Sara's love for dancing so endearing. And we see how Sara is so invested in what Ian does for his career and is such a positive force in his work and appreciates him for who he truly is. And the grandmother was so charming and loved her influence in their story.

What I Struggled With
This book didn't quite click for me as some of the others actually did. I enjoyed it but I also am not really a fan of one night stand set ups lol And I didn't like the heroine's reaction to the hero's circumstance. Yes technically he was in the process of a divorce but she judged him super harshly before all the facts came out.

Narration
Brilliant!!! These two should win a oscar for the brilliant work that they do as a team in portraying a narration.

Overall View
I found Mogul to be an quick, fun, complex ride that delivers an addictive story you can get behind on! A true keeper and a refreshing take that only Katy Evans delivers on!

Steam/Spice Explanations

Simmering cup of tea---soft warm touches and light intimacy
Warmin' by the fire- a medium level of sexual tension, a balance of sexual and emotional intimacy, lighter on the details in the sexual moments.
Steamin' up the room -the sexual content is more explicit in the language and tone, heavier amount of sexual scenes.
Blazing fire to the building-The prime focus is the sex scenes, scorching hot, and could burn one. Less focus on the emotional intimacy to the relationship.

Grace Grant, Sebastian York
