This was an amazing book! I loved Liv, the main character, along with John, Rory, Clark, and Sophia. They were all great. The urban fantasy aspects of the book were well done: fast paced, exciting, action packed, magic packed, and a variety of magical species. It was pretty epic, and I have finished book two at the time of writing this review. I will definitely be continuing with this incredible series. Liv is kick ass and hilarious! 5 stars.

I didn't like this as much on the reread. The writing is occasionally choppy, and the story could have used another line edit. While Liv and Plato are still fun, and the world is intriguing, since I do remember what happens in the series as a whole, the mystery aspect falls flat. 3.5 stars.
