Awesome continuation of series.

The way things are?
Two years ago, women couldn’t vote.
Ma Etta was a slave when she was a girl.
Don’t you ever talk to me about the way things are, unless you’re willing to talk to me about how things can be.

I love Blink as a character!!
I love learning more about the world and seeing the character growth.
I have a hard time believing in the growth of Johnnie-Ray, but I’ve enjoyed his progression.
I love that the younger female characters aren’t drawn as objects but are shown as people…and dressed in appropriate attire to fight!

The alternate issue covers in the book as movie posters are wonderful. (Love the Purple Rain one especially!)

Looking forward to the conclusion.
I expect I will return to this series.
Strongly recommend it!
