The Warden by Anthony Trollope

5.0

This was my first Trollope and I absolutely LOVED it.

I don't even like audiobooks really, but The Warden lends itself to being read out loud to the reader. The characterization was effortless. It is clear that Trollope understands human being.

I thought that I would be reading Book#1 only, and now the characters won't leave me.

As is true of most classics, Trollope also helps the reader think about responsibility, honesty, duty, family and makes you ponder right vs wrong.

I found a lot of myself in The Reverend Septimus Harding. It was such a good story and while I know it is the shortest in the serious, I feel it was a great introduction into the series and it was just enough for me to realize that I can't possibly stop the series with this novel.
