A thoroughly engrossing story, filled with rich characters and lush prose. I admire the way Phillips employs her narration style, shifting focus from one character to the next in close-third person. It’s a uniquely crafted book that makes me excited for what she writes next. And the last few chapters were wholly engrossing and unpredictable.
