It was really interesting to read Haymitch’s back story and see how he became the way he was by the time of the main trilogy. The sadism of the Capitol is never ending it seems. It feels different to read a dystopian novel these days - much more of a “yep that tracks” kind of feeling than one of “wow how do they live like that”.
