The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli

Did not finish book. Stopped at 80%.

The book...was not bad but it felt very much like I wasn't the target audience, like the way it handled body image issues was good and relatable but everything else about caring so much about being in a relationship and going out to parties felt so alien to me for some reason, like I wouldn't even relate to it when I was a teenager. Tried to finish it but the end just felt like such a drag but I just couldn't, doesn't help that I can't get behind the writing style.
Decent book, made some good points about diversity, living as a fat girl with anxiety but the romance was meh and a lot of the characters felt nonsensical or flat.
