This book is wonderful. The female characters are amazing (the male characters are great too, don't get me wrong) and even the villains are complex and layered. The world-building was fantastic as well. I feel like the way heavier themes were introduced was handled really well, the attitude towards death in particular. This novel was written with a young adult audience in mind but truly anyone could enjoy this. What a lovely story.
