It took me a while to get to this book after reading Butcher & Blackbird, which I only rated 3.5/5 stars. But I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The first half was a little slow for me but I started to really love it as the groveling picked up. I haven’t read a grovel book before, but I may have to explore this trope some more…
