I really enjoyed reading this book of short stories! I know many people associate King with the horror genre, which I love, but so many of these short stories illustrated his talents in other genres as well. I had no idea he wrote poetry, either! One of my favorites was "Mile 81". I may never think of a rest stop the same way again! I also loved "The Dune", "Bad Little Kid", and "Summer Thunder", but my favorite was "Under The Weather"- for that slow, unsettling realization that something terrifying is about to happen- that I think only a short story can fulfill. I found myself writing down ideas for short stories throughout my experience with this book. I may just have to try out writing some short stories this summer when I have some extra time! I look forward to reading more of King's books of short stories in the future. Thanks for this book, Mrs. Tannyhille! :)
