Will by Will Smith
5.0

Great job Will! I have to say, I was swaying between a 4 and 5 for this one, and I probably would land on 4.5 if that was a possibility, but since it is not I will go ahead and give the 5. I think the fact that I listened to it, narrated by Will, it sounded like I was just listening to someone tell me stories. Will is and feels familiar. Maybe because I grew up with the Fresh Prince or maybe because he's just a real person. I mean, real x100, but still real. His stories and experiences seem genuine. He's the same charasmatic, optimistic, happy guy he shows up as, but seeing his own mind sometimes attacking the outside happy persona was interesting. The only reason I would take off about .5 of a star would be that in the last third of the book there was just a little too much of I'm the best there is, world renowned, superstar. He said it so many times I was a little like, oh man Will, now you sound a little full of yourself. But then again this is what he knows and presents and is, so can't fault him too much. Still, I would have dialled that back a little more. Like, we know Will! Otherwise, I thought it was a very interesting read/listen. Especially everything leading up to the Fresh Prince show years. I found it captivating. He told it well.
