I really enjoyed this book and I’m glad I read it. I love baseball romances and a good mlm story, so this book was perfect. I appreciate how real the characters felt; they never pretended they were perfect, though I know Gene wishes everything was with all his might. They were real people with real thoughts and behaviors, and those are the best kind of characters to read about. The gay disaster of mutually-oblivious pining is so cute and one of my favorites tropes. I was smiling the whole time I was reading the book, especially at the way Luis and Gene speak and think about each other, Gene and Vince’s interactions, and Gonzo’s little moments here and there. Very well written and an enjoyable read. I just want to know one thing: are the Kyle’s together or what?
