texas_tricia 's review for:
The Other Boleyn Girl
by Philippa Gregory
This book was very long, but for the most part, it held my attention pretty well--I like the author's style.
That being said, the subject matter of this book--or more precisely, how women are treated (as nothing more than pawns, ploys, objects) in the time covered, bothered me. This is no fault of the author, certainly, but it did take some of the pleasure from reading.
For that reason, I doubt I'd read another.
