William Gibson is very clearly very talented. His writing is sharp, his ability to describe the world he creates brings it to life. He is very prescient, even coining the term cyberspace.
However, as with a lot the cyberpunk genre that this novel spawned, I don’t find it to be particularly my thing. The world is dark. His characters extremely flawed and mostly unlikable. The best character in the whole novel may be a virtual copy of a dead man.
