I don’t know what exactly it is about this book, but I really loved it. The writing style lends itself well to envisioning the book play out like a movie. The characters are relatable without being clichés. Queer identity and love without the unnecessary queer-related trauma. Friendship and romance and moms. It was all just delightful! The only thing I’ll add is that I’m a huge fan of Natalie Naudus who narrates as one of the two MCs, so that certainly added to my enjoyment of the audiobook.
