I did not finish this book because I could not handle the contrived main character, best friend, setting, plot, etc. I felt that the MC had a litany of random flaws that were only there so we could see her become "redeemed" by the end, and it was just not enjoyable for me.
If you are interested in books about city girls fleeing to the country to start a new life, I recommend Jenny Colgan.
