Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
5.0
A gambler, a convict, a wayward son, a lost Grisha, a Suli girl who had become a killer, a boy from the Barrel who had become something worse.
my god. i absolutely loved this. i haven't read a GOOD book (like, a really good book) in a while and this was more than that. this was talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, showstopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference. just the freaking best, if you didn't get the gist.
ohmygosh the characters. all of them are flawed but that's what makes them so lovable!! the way they grow to care for each other is just. ugh. i love.
and the plot!!! this book is fueling my love for heists and, as with the S&B series, there are so many plot twists! everywhere!! and you never see them coming.
the writing in this. so beautiful. so poetic. so much improvement from S&B. and chapter 43 BROKE me. entirely.
anywho, an amazing read. i probably would've given this a better review with more coherent sentences if it weren't 2 AM, so...
