(The other book being Fable for the End of the World)
In all honesty, this book was great. The world, the action, the plot, were all amazing. But it's the characters, their dynamic, and the dialogue that really shone through. Every word out of someone's mouth was amazing and it really pushed this book up to four stars.
My biggest issue with this one is the writing. There were MANY times I didn't understand what was going on or what the characters were doing, even after rereading the entire page. As if some key sentences were just- cut. At times it was a bit irritating, others it was easy to get past.
Beyond that, I had a great time reading this book, I'll be picking up the second very soon.
