La Bête humaine
by Émile Zola
Great book. Starts off slowly (first 30 pages or so), but quickly becomes much more interesting. It's a psychological thriller about murder. Reminded me of how interesting classics can be and how good of a writer Zola was. The language is a little more cumbersome than modern language at times, but generally it is a pretty easy read.
