The Seven Silly Eaters by Mary Ann Hoberman

2.0

But why is Mrs. Peters taking sole responsibility for feeding the seven children? Mr. Peters keeps getting her pregnant, but all he seems to do is play with the kids and collect a few apples.
He stressed out a bit with the first child, but then just let his wife get more and more stressed. It's not like he sits around doing nothing: we see him planting a tree, bringing in groceries, and reading stories to the kids, but he's never helping in the kitchen until the very last page, where he's doing dishes with Peter.

I can look past the kids only eating one thing each because it's a children's book, but I can't look past dad never cooking, also because it's a children's book.
