The Testaments by Margaret Atwood
2.0

I haven't read or watched The Handmaid's Tale. I never wanted to. I've read too much dystopian fiction already. But, I loved The Blind Assassin, I was intrigued by what promised to be a good audio production and everything said that this book could stand on its own, so I decided to go for it.

The audio production was great. The celebrity readers were very good. And, at first, the story held my interest. Then it turned into typical dystopian fiction: corrupt leaders, the oppressed majority, a revolution, an escape, a collapse. I've seen it before, many times and, unfortunately, there was nothing new here.
