Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined
by Stephenie Meyer
To be honest, it was very boring after having just recently read the exact same story when I read the original Twilight, so it's a little unfair to rate this book very high or low.
I think Meyer did prove her point that the story still would have happened if the genders were reversed. The foreword was actually very helpful to help frame the book.
I had a harder time relating to Beau than Bella purely because of the gender difference and the story being told from his perspective.
I do like that she changed the ending. It was interesting to see how it would have played out if Beau had been changed by Joss (James). Because Beau and Bella were still similar enough, and Meyer stating in the afterword that she changed the ending to see how it would have played out and NOT because of the swapped genders, I was able to imagine what it would have been like for Bella.
It was like, half worth it to read Life and Death? I still like Twilight better though.
