The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake
by Aimee Bender
I stuck to this book hoping it would engage me. It did briefly when Rose became a teen, but after this it became far too unrealistic. This book for me felt empty, whoch began with a storyline and veered almost off into cliff. Little resolution, and I thought if Joseph was at least going to be a chair, at least that could have featured in the last chapter to round things off.
