this book was so infuriating. from the characters to the story, everything made me mad. i liked how the chapters had different point of views and i was expecting a mind blowing ending because of piper’s testament but the ending was bad. it was unironically bad, it was so anticlimactic. actually, this entire book was anticlimactic. the beginning was so slow it was horrible to read, it took the author +200 pages to start getting into the story and to start getting “creepy”. i’m very disappointed because i was expecting a thriller, crime, horror book and i ended up reading a book about parents who can’t raise their fucking child. christopher AND hannah were both in the wrong and yeah, you can’t write a good story with a cast full of dumb and annoying character. janie was not even a creepy child she was just annoying. she was here to add a spooky vibe to the book but since we don’t know anything about her she just feels like a turbulent kid. i’m so disappointed.
