I loved everything about this book. The characters, the world-building, the writing omg. I loved Feyre, obviously, but especially Lucien (his comebacks were the best) and Tamlin and the development of their hatred towards Feyre becoming love. I liked how Sarah redeemed Rhys by the end of this book as I was confused as to how he would become Feyre’s ally in the continuation of the series. I also thoroughly enjoyed all the terrifying creatures SJM came up with and the very easy-to-understand politics of this world. I do wish that the villain of this book was a more fleshed-out character because it did bother me a little that we didn’t get too much of them before the ending. Finally, my favourite part is the writing. Why is SJM so good at writing at writing scenes between the two love interests? I swear that 60% of my tabbed quotes were conversations and moments between Tamlin and Feyre. For example: “I was as unburdened as a piece of dandelion fluff, and he was the wind that stirred me about the world.” Ugh so pretty. I also loved all the plot twists throughout this book, like maybe I’m not as observant as I thought but I wasn’t expecting not even one of them. My jaw was to the floor in the last 150 pages of this book. Everything with Nesta was crazy and, I don’t want to reveal too much, but I cannot wait for Nesta’s book.
