This book left me feeling like a mess. It stressed me out, frustrated me and made me cackle.

I truly appreciate the emphasis on tough love and getting up after each fall or obstacle. I rooted for Jasmine as she learnt to juggle success in a career she was incredibly passionate about and caring for her family whom she loved deeply. She took a lot of hard lessons that wrecked me as I read about them, but she also had a fierce family and a fierce partner behind her to make sure she overcame them.

I love a couple who still annoy each other and fight even as they love and trust each other so much. Being able to not have to mince words with a close friend, or partner is a quality I respect. This couple definitely said things to each other that really hurt, but they still stuck around for each other.

It could even be highly debatable whether some of their comments are forgivable. I personally think it is a testament to how much these two trust each other not to take the mean comments too harsh, even before they became true friends.
