The Moonlight Palace by Liz Rosenberg

2.0

This book feels like an unnecessary. Something about the ending makes you feel like you wasted your time and that you put all that work into a story that didn't really pay off. The only saving grace is the diversity of characters, but even then you'd better invest in a story that gives you a good reason to get to know them. Things happen to the people in the book. They hardly ever take agency of their own lives and make their own narrative.
