I was completely gripped and mesmerised by 'Inkheart' from start to finish. I loved Funke's writing which I think lives up to (and in some case surpasses) the authors that she quotes and alludes to throughout her novel. A fantasy story about book lovers is right up my street and I actually had to resist the temptation to start it again straightaway once I finished.
