The Borderlands Princess
by Ophelia Wells Langley
A war was fought between the humans and fae kind, but they finally came to a peace treaty, and Princess Sorcha is that peace treaty. The 30 year old human princess, must marry the fae king, the High King Anchill. Princess Sorcha is attacked as soon as she crosses the border of the fae lands, so Lord Conall becomes her escort for the journey to her betrothed.
This isn't one of the first adult fantasy books that I've read, but it's one of the first that I fell in love with. I love how Princess Sorcha is so inclined to learn everything about the fae, and how Lord Conall seems to want to help her, yet not give her too much information. I love their banter, and I love what happens...
