Saga, Vol. 1 by Brian K. Vaughan
5.0
If I were to describe this in one word, it would be “excellent.”
Saga has it all: An addictive story, beautiful art work, great characters and lots of sex. What more could anyone need? This story has an incredible balance between important issues and humor that lets readers become attached to the story and the characters but still keeps a fun vibe while reading it. I don’t read a lot of graphic novels so I wasn’t 100% sure of what the expect here but I was really pleased with this.
Honestly the only thing I wanted more of in this story was some more defined world building and character back stories, but considering the length and content of this, I’m not sure it would have fit in naturally. So I’ll just continue on with the series and let it happen when it happens. Not really sure how to review graphic novels without just repeatedly saying that this was awesome, so I guess I’ll just leave it at that. This was awesome.
