Wow, Rick Astley has led such a roller coaster of a life. He came from a challenging childhood to overwhelming fame at a very young age to being done with the music machine to finding personal happiness and ultimately finding his love of music again.
Rick was part of the pop music machine of producer Pete Waterman and Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW) who produced hundreds of pop hits in the 1980s/1990s. But unfortunately, it was all about making money and doing whatever it took to get hits. There were dramatic artistic differences and Rick walked away.
The narration was top-notch by Rick, who has a lovely English accent. He shared his life and found happiness in music at 50.
I loved the full-circle redemption story!
