All the Names They Used for God by Anjali Sachdeva

3.0

For whatever reason these speculative stories didn't really grab me. Her writing is good and sincere, but I had a hard time connecting to characters in a meaningful fashion and I fear among the 52 books I typically read in a year, I will have forgotten this one. Who knows? I liked them, the one with the father with glass lungs, the kidnapped girls in Africa, the strange alien invasion of blobs taking our hands away... but I found myself trying to figure out what they "mean" rather than enjoy the story or feel an emotional punch.
