Love Sally Rooney’s writing and the characters and stories but I think her characters are such that the intrigue exists as long as you see them through her perspective. I personally did not like being inside Frances’ mind a lot. The others characters constantly felt more interesting than her and her incessant self pity and I think that’s also why her later works worked. Also why im excited for the show because I NEED to see the others and watch the story rather than reading 5 pages of Frances criticising others
