Another really enjoyable Knollis mystery. I worked out the main culprit quite early for a change, which was pleasing and had me leaning toward giving this 4.5/5 - but I had to drop it to 4.25 for the needless cliché in the reveal at the very end.  A slightly sexist trope, "of its time" as they say. On the plus side, Knollis himself continues to impress, a very well drawn detective and a very likeable character.
