Everyone on This Train Is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson
5.0

In the literary world, there's nothing rarer or more delightful than a sequel that lives up to its predecessor (and our narrator would know, given how much meta-commentary he has on the subject). Much to my surprise and delight, THIS BOOK DELIVERS!!! The story takes a minute to find its momentum and for the first body to hit the floor, but once the ball is rolling, it doesn't stop until the end. Seriously, just when I thought the story had wrapped itself up, the last few pages had me REELING. So many good twists, hidden motives, and, of course, a big reveal that I couldn't have predicted even though Ern was dangling it in my face the whole time.

Anyways, I desperately want to visit Australia now and shell out my life savings for a trip on the Ghan just to feel like I'm in an old-timey mystery. Hopefully with less murders though.
