i hate this book. i did not even want to rate it because it does not even deserve one star.
i thought that reese witherspoon would never lead me wrong, turns out that she will.
this book covers sensitive topics by throwing them out the window and focussing on something else.
*spoilers*
hannah and charlie's relationship is the saddest thing ever and there is no goddamn closure. charlie is the worst and is such a disappointment to men named charlie. he was not the worst male character, that is reserved for will, but he is one of the most asshole-cheating-on-his-wife-son-of-a-bitch characters I have ever read. he makes me so angry that i feel sick. jules is super self-absorbed and does not even care or know that her sister was suicidal for a period of time. will is a problem in and of himself, but the fact that jules did not know how horrible he was showed that she is useless and just wants to marry someone because she wants to marry someone, she also blames her sister (who was suicidal at one point in time) for their mother loving olivia more. how in the hell is that olivias fault? the character johnno was annoying and clearly has like ptsd or something, but its not mentioned and he like second hand murdered someone. i did not mind olivia or hanna that much and i felt bad for them because they have been with awful men. i love the owner lady, no problems with that queen.
this book also has many 'twists' in it. most are ones that i predicted, and were very basic. there was one that was not as basic and i was semi-surprized by it. most of the 'twists' i was just reminded of by reading other reviews, so they are not important.
