Winter's Rise by Mary Stone

FBI Agent Winter Black helped stop the serial killer, The Preacher in the last book.  This brings a great deal of uncertainty for Winter.  She is back to work and must mend fences and regain trust of those she used in the previous book.  Now the FBI is hunting for a killer who is a skilled surgeon.  Winter's friend Autumn may be in the crosshairs.  This entry in the series moved a break neck speed.  I read the book in one day and really enjoyed it.  In addition to the main storyline, we know that Winter's brother, Justin, may still be alive.  This creates another stressor for Winter.  She has to decide what kind of person she wants to be, what kind of friend and what kind of FBI agent.  If you enjoy books where characters struggle and develop, you will enjoy this book.
