Companions of the Night by Vivian Vande Velde

4.0

Update: Okay, honestly? I still think about this book sometimes and I really enjoyed most of it. Two stars was a really mean rating, and the ending wasn't even as bad as I made it out to be. I don't know why I was so angry lol but anyways.

Original Review: This book had so much potential, but the ending..... I was left feeling like I had read the story completely wrong, because I did enjoy most of the action that happened. But then the ending came and I realized I was so wrong. All I can say to the main character after that is: just shut up, you're only sixteen. Ugh. (Sidenote: it's really weird to read a book that was written and set in the 90's. I laughed so hard when it mentioned a "computer room", remember those?? That said, most of the time it still felt like the story could have been set today, which I think it's a good thing.)
