G is for Gumshoe

Easy breazy PI story. Fun, quippy dialogue, good atmosphere and likeable characters. The two plot threads, while both interesting in their own right, never really connected, leaving the plot feeling a little jumbled and sometimes stopping momentum to switch gears to the other plot. One plot ends satisfyingly, the other doesn’t.
Also I found the romance to be pretty forced and awkward. It’s never really addressed other than a total of one and a half scenes and then it as if it never happened. That also goes for the other weird romance subplot.
Overall though, incredibly fun and readable.
