This books is beautiful. Sometimes contemporary Christian fiction--specifically when it's about a hard situation can be trite and pat. This book is none of those things. It is a lovely story full of beautiful words, word pictures, characters, stories and God.
I was surprised by it---the story wasn't tidy. In fact, I wish there was an epilogue!!
I was entertained by it--it's funny, heart-wrenching and heart-filling.
I was inspired by it--the pictures of hope and joy were so beautiful. Almost parable-like without being heavy-handed.
I'm excited to read more by Cynthia Ruchti.
