Wow. I understand why this has been nominated for so many awards. What a powerful story of family, freedom, and survival.
This book was full of emotion, making me cry at times and laugh others. The code switching present throughout the story is incredibly powerful and the narration of Dominic Hoffman is one of the best performances I've listened to in the last few years.
I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a new favorite audiobook or looking to broaden their genre horizons.
