Horimiya, Vol. 1
by HERO, Daisuke Hagiwara
For context, I randomly watched the anime some time back because Netflix recommended it to me and it looked kind of cute. I was shocked by how endeared I was by the characters and general feel of it. So sweet and wholesome!
Recently, I’ve been pretty bogged down, and noticed that four extra episodes had been released. This discovery prompted a rewatch (still ongoing), which in turn prompted me to read the manga. I regret none of the decisions that have brought me to this point.
I really like seeing the scenes that didn’t make it into the anime. LikeMiyamura coming to Souta’s defence when he’s getting bullied, or the whole plot point about Yuki thinking he's Hori's cousin. Also, Miyamura getting a cold and Tooru and Hori coming to take care of him… soft .
Don't judge me - sometimes, you just need something light and funny and adorable, and this is all of that and more. Friendship! Love! So much warmth and good feels.
