1) Narrator was adequate. Weird intonation and pacing in some parts, but otherwise okay.
2) Story: There was less story and more world building and exploration of ethics and legalities. The story itself was really flat. There was a lot of sex that did nothing to advance the story. Like, "Great, yay, no one cares who is sleeping with whom, move on please" type of sex.
Overall, interesting world changes, with all legalities and ethics regarding autonomous vs indentured machines and persons. Nothing that couldn't be accomplished in a short story.
