A is for Alibi

The 1982 setting makes it fun to read about a detective who does research pre-internet and communicates with clients pre-cell-phone. Tech is dated, as is some of the interpersonal/sexist junk, but (for me) the mystery-solving holds up enough that I am entertained as I read-to-unwind and sleep.
